Midnight Dessert!

Nutella Oreo Cheesecake is ready to be served …. tomorrow! Have visitors over this week, and how can someone not get a taste of dessert while visiting The Bakealogue right? 🙂 So although the plan was to bake a cheesecake, I changed my mind halfway through and decided to make it as individual desserts! Not only does it look different, but my main aim was to make it finish quicker *evil laugh* … I would not call it a very sweet dessert (as it may look that way) thanks to the plain cream cheese portion mixed with a little lemon juice which balances it out perfectly (don’t go ewwww, try it!!) .. These have now gone into the fridge to chill overnight … oh it’s gonna be a loooong night alrite! Lol ….

Nutella Oreo Cheesecake

Nutella Oreo Cheesecake

Serving: 8 individual desserts

Recipe as follows: Oreo biscuits 1 packet (175 grams) Unsalted butter: 1/3 cup Mascarpone Cream Cheese: 480 grams Nutella: 3 tbsp Lemon Juice: 2 tsp Thick Cream: 2 cups Brown Sugar: 1/3 cup

Method: Crush the oreo cookies until they resemble fine crumbs. Melt the unsalted butter and add to the oreo cookie crumbs. Mix well. Set aside. In a bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese and lemon juice. Add the thick cream followed by brown sugar and continue to mix until well combined. Divide the mixture into equal halves. Add 3 tbsp of Nutella to one bowl and mix well. To assemble: Add a layer of oreo cookie crumbs first, followed by plain cream cheese, and then nutella cream cheese. Continue until you reach the top of the glass. Top it up with an oreo cookie!
