Calling out to all Nutella fans out there .. this one’s for you! This recipe has been doing rounds on facebook for quite a while now, so decided to bake these myself to see what the fuss was all about. Although the original recipe asked for a lot more Nutella, I just couldn’t get myself to add so much and decided to reduce the quantity (as stated below). And i’m pretty glad I did as the amount of sweet felt just right and incredibly chewy.
A few pointers to remember while baking these:
- These brownies don’t rise much so use a small pan if possible. I used an 8×8″ square pan.
- Baking time is somewhere between 20-25 mins at 180 degrees Celsius. But keep an eye on it, and do not overbake as they will turn out quite dry. If a skewer inserted in the centre of the brownie comes out clean, then they are ready!
More few ingredients recipes coming up next week …..
Until then, have a great weekend everyone!
Nutella Oreo Cheesecake is ready to be served …. tomorrow! Have visitors over this week, and how can someone not get a taste of dessert while visiting The Bakealogue right? 🙂 So although the plan was to bake a cheesecake, I changed my mind halfway through and decided to make it as individual desserts! Not only does it look different, but my main aim was to make it finish quicker *evil laugh* … I would not call it a very sweet dessert (as it may look that way) thanks to the plain cream cheese portion mixed with a little lemon juice which balances it out perfectly (don’t go ewwww, try it!!) .. These have now gone into the fridge to chill overnight … oh it’s gonna be a loooong night alrite! Lol ….

So what have you been upto today? I spent a good part of this morning looking up Croissant recipes and was pretty horrified as I didn’t realise it’s such a long and tedious process … As there’s no way I was going to spend most of my weekend in the kitchen, so I decided to create a shortcut recipe for croissants that takes a matter of 20 minutes from start to finish! All you really need is puff pastry and some Nutella (or any filling of your choice) and then just follow the steps shown in the pic .. By the way, please don’t forget to brush the croissant with a beaten egg right before it goes into the oven! It really is that simple!
The combination of puff pastry and nutella is amazing … and that’s a lot coming from someone who is not even a Nutella fan … I just had an open bottle that needed to be used up so thought I’d just experiment with that as the filling and man did it taste good! Can’t believe I didn’t think of this before ….. Have a great weekend everyone!
